This reminds me of a sort of concious/maybe unconcious theory I have: The more I worry about something the less likely it will happen. Or if it happens, it won't match the devastating scenario in my head.
But it works two ways - one good/one bad.
1) Wheeew!! What a relief. The devastating thing was way less horrible than I thought.
